Kfar Yassef Baptist Church News

On October 15, 2007 a group of believers gathered in Toraan Baptist Church to witness the ordination of Hanna Eid as an elder serving the Eilaboun Baptist Church. The service was conducted at Toraan Baptist Church due to the fact that the church at Eilaboun is very small and could not hold a large number of people. Eilaboun is a village in Galilee with roughly 4400 residents, one of a very few towns in Israel where the majority of the population are Christian. The Eilaboun Baptist church is hosted in the basement of Abu William Shoufani, the very first Baptist believer in the town. This same occasion also served to make William Shufani and his wife Badera and Sister Abir Srour deacons.

Church Leaders' special conference

special conference Few members of our church went to the leaders confrence in Jordan from the 5th through the 7th of December, 2007.
There were forty new and more experienced leaders that attended the conference from the Evangelical church in Israel.

31 people Baptized in the Jordan River

On Saturday, September 29, 2007 a very unique baptismal service took place at the baptismal site on the Jordan River, just south of the Sea of Galilee. More than 200 people from across the Galilee region were in attendance. The service saw 32 new believers baptized: 19 from Kufur Yaseef and 13 from Eilaboun.

Kofor-Yassef Baptist church was founded in 1940, as a result of a revival in eastern Jordan and Palestine, because of an amazing event that occurred to the sister Mrs.Em Saleem Kawaar, in Amman (Jordan) in 1933.
